[Problem] To provide an optical film which has excellent visibility and can reduce the environmental impact thereof. [Solution] An optical film for lamination of a functional layer, said optical film comprising polyester, wherein: the biomass degree of the optical film is not less than 10%; the total light transmittance of the optical film is not less than 70%; and the in-plane phase contrast of optical film is 3,000-30,000 nm.
