Abstract:
An optical film which is formed from a stretched resin and has Re(590), |Rth(590)|, |Re(400) - Re(800)| and |Rth(400) - Rth(800)| within specific ranges, while having a tensile modulus of elasticity of 1,500 MPa or more and a tear strength of 0.6 N/mm or more; a polarizing plate which is provided with this optical film; and a method for producing this optical film. The resin preferably contains a polymer that has an aromatic vinyl compound hydride unit (a) and a diene compound hydride unit (b).
