Abstract:
Provided is an optical filter, comprising: a translucent substrate; a refractive index slope thin film which is disposed upon the substrate and whereupon the refractive index changes in the film thickness direction; and a reflection prevention structure body which is disposed upon the refractive index slope thin film. The refractive index slope thin film is formed to have a light absorption characteristic, and to have a refractive index slope characteristic wherein a refractive index change which has a plurality of inflection points with the increase or decrease of the refractive index tends to be reduced from the substrate side toward the reflection prevention structure body side. This optical filter is superior in environmental robustness, and has low reflectivity. This optical filter is suited for use in a photographic optical assembly of an optical device or a display unit of an electronic apparatus.
