Abstract:

An optical filter which is excellent in light resistance, heat resistance, etc., does not show high absorption in the visible region, and has the ability to absorb near infrared rays. The optical filter is characterized by containing a compound represented by the following general formula (1): wherein a and a' each independently represents optionally substituted ary or optionally substituted heteroaryl; R¹ and R² each independently represents optionally substituted alkyl, optionally substituted aryl, or optionally substituted heteroaryl, provided that R¹ and R² may be bonded to each other through a group; and M¹ represents a metal in Group 10 of the Periodic Table.
