Abstract:
[Problem] To suppress an increase in iodine concentration of a second adhesive layer of an optical laminate under high-temperature and high-humidity conditions. [Solution] This optical laminate includes a first adhesive layer, a first protective film, a polarizer, a first phase-difference layer, and a second adhesive layer, in that order. The polarizer is a polyvinyl alcohol resin film with which iodine is adsorbed and oriented. The first phase-difference layer includes a cured layer of a polymerizable, liquid-crystal compound. The relationship A1 > A2 is satisfied when: A1 is the moisture permeability, at a temperature of 40°C and a relative humidity of 90% RH, of an entire layer which is disposed between the polarizer and the first adhesive layer; and A2 is the moisture permeability, at a temperature of 40°C and a relative humidity of 90% RH, of an entire layer disposed between the polarizer and the second adhesive layer. The first adhesive layer satisfies at least one of the following conditions: [a] the saturation moisture content of the first adhesive layer at a temperature of 25°C and a relative humidity of 80% RH is 0.5% or more, and [b] the first adhesive layer includes an ionic compound.
