Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing an optical layered body having exceptional pressure resistance from the surface thereof, and a display device that has the optical layered body. This optical layered body has a surface protective layer, a first adhesive layer, a light absorption anisotropic layer, and a second adhesive layer in the stated order, and is configured so that the indentation elastic modulus of the first adhesive layer is greater than the indentation elastic modulus of the light absorption anisotropic layer, the light absorption anisotropic layer is formed from a light-absorption-anisotropic-layer-forming composition that contains a liquid crystalline compound and a dichroic substance, and the thickness of the light absorption anisotropic layer is less than 5 µm.
