Abstract:
An optical line terminal, and a method for upgrading a master device and a slave device. A slave device receives a stepwise reset notification sent by a master device; the slave device executes the reset of a control chip according to the received stepwise reset notification, and sends a request message to the master device after the control chip is reset, the request message being used for requesting the master device to deliver new configuration data; the slave device obtains the new configuration data delivered by the master device; and the slave device recovers data of the control chip by using the new configuration data delivered by the master device. By implementing embodiments of the present invention, only a control chip of a slave device needs to be reset and upgraded, and other hardware structures of the slave device do not need to be reset, so that a service can be forwarded while the control chip is reset, and accordingly a service is not interrupted during the upgrade of the slave device.
