Abstract:
The present invention measures chromaticity and turbidity with high accuracy while achieving reduction in size and employing turbidity measurement procedures based on water quality standards of respective countries. This optical measurement device measures turbidity of a liquid sample by measuring scattered light scattered by the liquid sample. The optical measurement device is provided with: a cell that houses a liquid sample; a transmitted light measurement light source that irradiates the liquid sample in the cell with transmitted light measurement light; a scattered light measurement light source that irradiates the liquid sample in the cell with scattered light measurement light; an optical detector that detects transmitted light of the transmitted light measurement light and scattered light of the scattered light measurement light; and a reflection mirror that reflects the transmitted light measurement light in the cell and directs the reflected light to the optical detector. The scattered light measurement light source emits, toward a post-reflection optical path which is an optical path of the transmitted light measurement light reflected by the reflection mirror and directed toward the optical detector, the scattered light measurement light such that the scattered light measurement light crosses the post-reflection optical path at a predetermined angle.
