Abstract:
Provided is an optical member which has excellent durability and with which it is possible to achieve a liquid crystal display device having high color rendering properties. This optical member has, in order, a first barrier layer, a wavelength conversion layer, and a second barrier layer. The wavelength conversion layer includes a matrix and a wavelength conversion material dispersed in the matrix. An emission spectrum of light extracted from the optical member has a peak of intensity Gp in a wavelength band of 515-550 nm, and a peak of intensity Rp in a wavelength band of 605-650 nm. The average value Ave of the intensity in a wavelength band of 570-600 nm of the emission spectrum and the average value of Gp and Rp satisfy formula (1). (1): Ave≤0.1×{(Gp+Rp)/2}
