Abstract:
The present invention provides an optical module authentication method and apparatus. The method comprises: acquiring preset key information; if it is detected that an optical module is inserted, acquiring authentication information stored inside the optical module, the authentication information comprising preset fixed information and a verification code; encrypting the fixed information by using the key information to obtain an encryption result according to a preset algorithm; and determining whether the encryption result matches the verification code to obtain an authentication result. According to the solution, an optical module is authenticated when the optical module is inserted, so that the problem of device fault and thus communication interruption due to random use of an optical module is avoided.
