Abstract:
A system, comprising an optical projection system configured to project a collimated beam, and a switchable diffuser coupled to a control source. The switchable diffuser responses to the control source switched from a first condition to a second condition (e.g. a voltage condition of switching from 0V to 1-50V) so as to switch from the first status to the second status. In the first status, the switchable diffuser receives the collimated beam, diffuses same, and projects the glow. In the second status, the switchable diffuser is basically transparent to several collimated beams, and allows the collimated beams to pass through and propagate as an array. The system further comprises a detector configured to acquire the glow and reflect in a lattice array, and/or a flight time detector configured to detect the time difference between different parts of the return light reflected from the surface.
