Abstract:
[Problem] To make it possible to obtain a high-quality signal component by canceling beat noise in a WDM signal, and implement this configuration at low implementation cost. [Solution] This optical reception device converts a WDM signal rs(t) of an optical signal into electrical signals d(t)1-d(t)n represented by quadrature phase complex numbers, and obtains signals D1-Dn of a transmission source by cancelling beat noise from the electrical signals and thereafter modulating the electrical signals. The optical reception device is configured to be provided with: absolute value operation units 31a-31n which each generate a signal component including a beat noise component by absolute value square operation processing for squaring the absolute value of the electrical signal; scaling units 32a-32n which each restore n types of wavelength-related beat noise in the electrical signal by multiplying the generated beat noise component by a proportionality constant; and subtraction units 33a-32n which each cancel the n types of beat noise included in the electrical signal by subtracting the restored n-types of beat noise from the electrical signal.
