Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] To provide an optical scanner having a reflective mirror with a high
swinging accuracy, an image display, a method for adjusting the position of a
reflective mirror of an optical scanner or an image display, and a method for detecting
a swinging state. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] An optical scanner has a reflective
mirror section (222). The middle point in the range where the reflective mirror
(222) swings is set as a reference position of the reflective mirror (222). An
area sensor (274) receives the detection light reflected from the reflective
mirror (222). The area sensor (274) is so disposed as that it can be detected from
the result of the light reception if the position of the reflective mirror (222)
is the reference position or not.
