Abstract:
The present invention aims to provide an optical signal processing device capable of high-speed RC processing by generating a mask function in an optical region. Light emitted from a laser light source 211: has at least either a photofield intensity or a phase value that is modulated at a modulation cycle T1 and changed to an input signal u(t) by a light modulator 212; and is introduced to an optical FIR filter 213. The input signal u (t) is weighted by being multiplied by a term corresponding to the mask function by the optical FIR filter 213 and is converted to a modulated input signal u' (t). The modulated input signal u' (t) is input to an optical loop circuit 215 having a variable attenuator 216 and a non-linear response element 217 attached thereto via an optical coupler 214. The looping optical signal is divided into two branches by the optical coupler 218 and one of the light branches is converted to an intermediate signal x(t) by a light receiver 219. An electrical signal processing circuit 220 can perform RC operations by performing the formula (2) calculation on the intermediate signal x (t).
