Abstract:
A scanner has at least one dual-axis microelectromechanical mirror, providing an angularly resolved intensity distribution of a scene and having: vibration compensating means, or an array of micromirrors for tracking several sources simultaneously, or means for servocontrolling the mirror in order to center an image on the detector, or means 'for analyzing the spectral content of the source, such as a laser beam impairing the structural integrity or proper functioning of the source, or angle multiplying means, for expanding the angular operational range of the device.
