Abstract:
This optical transceiver comprises a predetermined pair of optical modules, of which one is a first optical module (1) and the other is a second optical module (2). A first holding portion (15A, 48) holding the first optical module (1) and a second holding portion (15B, 47) holding the second optical module (2) are provided in a main housing (40). The second holding portion (15B, 47) holds the second optical module (2) so that a module body (2M) of the second optical module (2) is positioned closer to a first side than a module body (1M) of the first optical module (1). Further, the second holding portion (15B, 47) holds the second optical module (2) in a positional relationship such that, in a projection of the optical modules on a virtual plane orthogonal to a direction normal to metal substrates thereof, an outer periphery of the module body (2M) of the second optical module (2) is in a region (QS) positioned between an outer periphery of the module body (1M) of the first optical module (1) and an outer periphery of a light input/output portion (4) of the first optical module (1).
