Abstract:
An optical transmitter, an optical receiver, and an optical transmission method, used for solving the issue in the prior art of high complexity of demultiplexing. The optical transmitter comprises an optical signal generator, N spreaders, N pairs of data modulators, and a combiner. The optical signal generator generates N single-wavelength optical carriers. The ith spreader spreads the ith optical carrier generated by the optical signal generator to obtain a spread optical signal having two subcarriers, splits the spread optical signal into a first optical signal and a second optical signal, and delays the second optical signal to obtain a third optical signal. The ith pair of data modulators modulate the first optical signal and the third optical signal to obtain a pair of modulated optical signals, and respectively transmit the pair of modulated optical signals to the combiner. The pair of modulated optical signals arriving at the combiner differ by 1/4fsi in the time domain. The combiner combines N pairs of modulated optical signals transmitted from the N pairs of data modulators into one optical signal.
