Abstract:
An optical unit 40 comprises: a movable frame 43 that holds an optical element 46 constituting a lens unit 40 that forms an object image; a fixed frame 41 that is formed from a nonmagnetic body, and accommodates the movable frame 43 such that the movable frame 43 can move freely forward or backward between a first position and a second position in the direction along the optical axis O of the lens unit 40; a first magnet 53 that is provided to the fixed frame 41, draws the movable frame 43 in a first direction along the optical axis O, and holds the movable frame 43 in the first position; and a coil 51 that uses a magnetic field generated due to energization to draw the movable frame 43 in a second direction on the side opposite the first direction along the optical axis, and hold the movable frame 43 in the second position.
