Abstract:
The present invention produces an optical waveguide which is provided with: a substrate; a lower cladding layer that is formed on the substrate; a core layer that is formed on the lower cladding layer; a sinking prevention layer that is formed so as to cover the core layer and the lower cladding layer; and an upper cladding layer that is formed on the sinking prevention layer. With respect to this optical waveguide, the sinking prevention layer is configured from a material that has a higher melting point than the material that constitutes the lower cladding layer.
