Title:
OPTIMUM METHOD OF LOADING CONTAINERS ONTO VEHICLE PLATFORM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2003/040007
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
An optimum method of loading containers onto a vehicle platform comprising the step of calculating moment load Wi · i obtained by multiplying a total load Wi of containers in a row i rows apart forward from the platform center by i, calculating moment load W-i · i obtained by multiplying a total load W-i of containers in a row i row apart backward from the platform center by i, calculating an advancing-direction offset load ratio which is a ratio of the difference &Verbar ΣWi · i - ΣW-i · i&Verbar between a total ΣWi · i of forward-side moment loads and a total ΣW-i · i of backward-side moment loads to the sum of the both (ΣWi · i + ΣW-i · i), calculating a vehicle-width-direction offset load ratio in a similar manner, and loading containers so that the calculated advancing-direction offset load ratio falls within a specified ratio range and the vehicle-width-direction offset load falls within a specified ratio range. This method is a highly practical optimum method of loading containers capable of optimally setting a loading balance simply when containers with various weights front-to-rear and right-to-left are to be loaded onto a vehicle platform.
