Abstract:
The present invention provides an opto-electric hybrid substrate wherein: an electrical wiring line (22) and an optical element (24) are provided on one surface of a substrate (21); an optical waveguide (W), which is optically coupled to the optical element (24), is provided on the other surface of the substrate (21); and a reinforcing layer (25) for reinforcing the substrate (21) is integrally fitted to the surface of the substrate (21), said surface being provided with the electrical wiring line (22) and the optical element (24), with an adhesive layer (26) being interposed therebetween. A connector pad part (36) for electrically connecting the electrical wiring line (22) to the outside is provided on the surface of the substrate (21), said surface being provided with the optical waveguide (W). In this configuration, the reinforcing layer (25) is fitted to the substrate (21) with high strength without adversely affecting the optical element (24) or the optical waveguide (W).
