Abstract:
An oral appliance of the present invention does not put strain on the temporomandibular joint and adjacent muscles while moving the lower jaw forward, and thus can be worn for a long time in a sleeping state to alleviate snoring. In addition, the oral appliance of the present invention expands the space in which the tongue can be positioned in the oral cavity and, simultaneously, positions the tongue naturally at the anterior part of the palate to induce mouth breathing to be switched to nose breathing, and thus can alleviate both snoring and sleep apnea.
