Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing an oral cavity cleaning tool which is less likely to cause scarring of mucous membrane in the oral cavity and can perform effective and efficient cleaning when used by a care giver or the like to clean the inside of the oral cavity of an elderly person or the like. This cleaning tool is provided with: a housing part (2) having a light source (24); and a head part (3) having a sponge brush (36), wherein the vicinity of the sponge brush can be irradiated with light derived from the light source. The oral cavity cleaning tool is characterized in that: the sponge brush is provided on one end section of a rod part (31) and the other end is connected to the housing; light emission parts (32, 33, 35) are provided in the vicinity of the sponge brush of the rod part; the light source is provided inside the housing; light from the light source is incident on a housing-side end section of the rod part, passes through the inside of the rod part, and is emitted from the light emission parts.
