Abstract:
The present invention provides an oral cleaning device (100) for causing a sprayed cleaning liquid to strike teeth and cleaning the teeth, the oral cleaning device (100) comprising: a cleaning-liquid-spraying unit (103) for spraying a cleaning liquid from a spraying port (103a) towards a prescribed direction; a spraying control unit (153) for controlling the flow rate and/or the spraying pressure of the cleaning liquid; and a light detection unit (camera unit (101)) for detecting an image in a detection region (101a) that includes a prescribed point on an extension line extending in the prescribed direction from the spraying port (103a) and that spreads two-dimensionally so as to intersect the extension line. The spraying control unit (153) estimates the state of the gingiva on the basis of a detected image, determines the control amount for the flow rate and/or the spraying pressure on the basis of the result of estimating the state of the gingiva; and causes the cleaning liquid to be sprayed from the spraying port (103a) so that the determined control amount is obtained.
