Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing an oral composition that does not include strongly irritating hydrogen peroxide and that has a better whitening action than conventional tooth whiteners that do not include hydrogen peroxide, and a method for producing the oral composition. This oral composition includes an organic acid, hydroxyapatite particles, a white colorant, and water, wherein: the oral composition furthermore includes calcium ions and at least one type of phosphate ions selected from PO4
3-, HPO4
2-, and H2PO4
2-; the organic acid includes at least two carboxyl groups; and the pH of the oral composition is 4.5-6.5.
