Abstract:
One embodiment according to the present invention pertains to an organic EL display (1) that is provided with: a display unit (10) that is equipped with a large number of light-emitting elements for emitting light when electric current is passed through an organic substance and that is configured to display an image by emitting light generated by the large number of light-emitting elements from a display surface; and a peripheral member (21K) that is disposed on the same plane as the display surface so as to surround the periphery of the display unit and that is composed of a material having a light absorption rate matching that of the display unit when not emitting light.
