Abstract:
An organic EL element (10) is provided with a first electrode (2), an interlayer (4) formed above the first electrode (2), an organic light-emitting layer (5) formed with the interlayer (4) as the foundation, and a second electrode (8) formed above the organic light-emitting layer (5). The organic light-emitting layer (5) includes at least a host material and a dopant material, and the interlayer (4) is constituted by a material having a larger energy gap than the dopant material, and a deeper HOMO level than the dopant material.
