Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing an organic electroluminescent display device which has excellent wet heat durability. An organic electroluminescent display device according to the present invention sequentially comprises, in the following order from the viewing side, at least a circularly polarizing plate, an adhesive layer, a silicon nitride layer and an organic electroluminescent display element that comprises a pair of electrodes and an organic light emitting layer that is sandwiched between the electrodes. With respect to this organic electroluminescent display device, the circularly polarizing plate comprises a polarizer and an optically anisotropic layer; the polarizer comprises a dichroic organic dye; the optically anisotropic layer is formed using a composition that contains a polymerizable liquid crystal compound; and a layer that is present between the circularly polarizing plate and the silicon nitride layer has a thickness of 35 μm or less.
