Abstract:
The present invention is an organic electroluminescent element (1) having a light-emitting region (5) disposed between a positive electrode (3) and a negative electrode (4). The light-emitting region (5) includes a first light-emitting layer (51) and a second light-emitting layer (52); the ratio of the film thickness DEM1 of the first light-emitting layer (51) to the film thickness DEM2 of the second light-emitting layer (52), DEM1/DEM2, is 2/3 to 3/2; the first light-emitting layer (51) includes a first host material and a first light-emitting compound, and the second light-emitting layer (52) includes a second host material and a second light-emitting compound; and the first host material has a group represented by general formula (10) and is a compound represented by general formula (1).
