Abstract:
Provided is an organic electroluminescent element (organic EL element) that provides good practical use and that can be driven at a low voltage, has a high efficiency, and has long lifespan properties. This organic electroluminescent element is characterized by including luminous layers between a positive electrode and a negative electrode facing each other, and is characterized in that at least one of the luminous layers contains: a first host selected from carbazole compounds having a structure in which three or more carbazole rings are linked; a second host selected from indolocarbazole compounds having a structure in which an indolocarbazole ring has a substitution of a nitrogen-containing six membered-ring group; and a luminous dopant material.
