Abstract:
Provided is an organic electroluminescent element with which it is possible to improve efficiency, by forming an electron injection layer in a stable manner by means of a highly uniform film, and by forming a charge generation layer which can effectively exploit performance. This electroluminescent element is provided with at least one organic layer between a pair of electrodes (1, 5), wherein an electron injection layer (2) comprising a ZnO-containing layer, and a charge generation layer (3) containing an electron acceptor-containing film (3a) touching the cathode side thereof, and an adjoining electron donor-containing film (3b), are formed.
