Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an organic electroluminescent element which achieves excellent drive voltage characteristics and excellent current efficiency characteristics at the same time, while having a small change in the efficiency as well as in the efficiency after a continuous drive. The present invention provides an organic electroluminescent element which comprises a positive electrode, a negative electrode that faces the positive electrode, a light emitting layer that is arranged between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, a hole transport region that is arranged between the positive electrode and the light emitting layer, and an electron transport region that is arranged between the light emitting layer and the negative electrode, wherein: the electron transport region contains a triazine compound that is represented by formula (2); and at least one of the conditions (i) and (ii) described below is satisfied. (i) The light emitting layer contains a boron compound that is represented by formula (1). (ii) The hole transport region contains a radialene compound that is represented by formula (3).
