Abstract:
The present disclosure provides an organic light emitting element which comprises a pair of electrodes and a light emitting layer that is arranged between the pair of electrodes, wherein: the light emitting layer has guest molecules and host molecules; each host molecule is an organic compound represented by general formula (1); and each guest molecule is an organic metal complex represented by general formula (2). In formula (1), each of R1 to R12 represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent, and at least one of the moieties represents a substituent; and X is selected from among an oxygen atom and the like. In formula (2), M is selected from among iridium and the like; L, L' and L" respectively represent different bidentate ligands; m represents a number of 1 to 3, and each of n and p represents a number of 0 to 2, while satisfying (m + n + p) = 3; and partial structure ML is selected from among general formulae (2-1) to (2-3). In the formulae, each of R21 to R41 represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent.
