Abstract:
In the present invention, as a method for estimating the orientation of a player present in a sports video image, a processor of an orientation estimation device: receives reference orientation information, which is obtained on the basis of information inputted by a user, the reference orientation information designating the joint position of a specific player present in the sports video image of a game for which an estimation is to be made; and, by using the reference orientation information, estimates the orientation of a player, other than the specific player, who is present in the sports video image for which the estimation is to be made, and for whom the estimation is to be made.
