Abstract:
Provided is an oriented electromagnetic steel sheet with superior magnetic characteristics, such electromagnetic steel sheet being provided with an undercoat film having a high TiN ratio which is advantageous for imparting tension to a steel sheet. This oriented electromagnetic steel sheet is characterized: by having an undercoat film in which, in an analysis using thin-film X-ray diffraction, a peak value PTiN of TiN (Osbornite) found in the range of 42°<2θ<43° and a peak value PMg2SiO4 of Mg2SiO4 (Forsterite) found in the range of 35°<2θ<36° are both greater than 0, and the relationship of PTiN≧PMg2SiO4 is satisfied; and in that the iron loss W17/50 is 1.0 W/kg or less.
