Abstract:
Provided is an orthotic device that is used to treat scoliosis and with which it is possible to effectively correct spinal torsion using a simple configuration. This invention comprises: an outer shell part (1) that is worn so as to surround the trunk (P1) of a patient (P); contact pads (2) that come into contact with the trunk (P1); and a support part (3) that is provided to the outer shell part (1). The contact pads (2) are planar bodies that are flexible and extend along the circumferential direction (d) of the trunk (P1). The support part (3) has a support part body (S) that supports a contact pad (2) on the inner side relative to the outer circumferential surface of the outer shell part (1). The support part body (S) includes end support parts (S3) capable of fixing and supporting one end of a contact pad (2) on the outer shell part (1), and pulling parts (W) provided to the other end side of the contact pad (2). The pulling parts (W) are configured to be capable of pulling the other end side of the contact pad (2) along the circumferential direction (d).
