Abstract:
An oscillator is provided with first and second oscillating units (301a, 301c)
which output signals with an orthogonal phase relation defined to each other,
wherein a plurality of electric current sources are not simultaneously connected
to the first and second oscillating units (301a, 301c) but only one electric current
source (303a) is connected to them at any point of time. For instance, the electric
current is commonly connected to the first and second oscillating units. Each
of the first and second oscillating units has a CML type differential amplifier
including a delay element of a resistor and a capacitor to form a ring oscillator
connected in a ring.
