An outdoor umbrella having a lighting effect. The outdoor umbrella comprises an umbrella frame. The umbrella frame is covered with an umbrella cloth (7), and comprises an umbrella disc assembly and several umbrella rib assemblies matching the umbrella disc assembly. The umbrella rib assembly comprises several umbrella rib units (1), wherein at least one of the umbrella rib units (1) is provided with a lighting groove (11) in a lengthwise direction. A lighting assembly (2) comprises light-emitting bodies (22) and a light-transmitting tube (21) covering outer sides of the light-emitting bodies (22). The light-transmitting tube (21) is configured to be completely or partially embedded in the lighting groove (11), and the light-transmitting tube (21) is arranged in the lengthwise direction of the umbrella rib unit (1). By optimally designing the structure of the lighting assembly (2), the light-emitting bodies (22) are sleeved in the light-transmitting tube (21) to form an integrated structure, thereby facilitating assembly with the lighting groove (11) in the umbrella rib unit (1), reducing the assembly difficulty, and also reducing the production cost.
