Abstract:
An outdoor unit (100) for an air-conditioner is provided with: an outer box (1) the inside of which is partitioned into a compressor chamber and a fan chamber (8); and an electrical component box (2) that stores electrical components. The outdoor unit (100) for the air-conditioner is further provided with: an exhaust duct (3) that connects the electrical component box (2) with the fan chamber (8) and that has a duct exhaust port (35) formed so as to be open toward the fan chamber (8); a fan (4) that is disposed in the fan chamber (8) so as to discharge air of the fan chamber (8) to the outside of the outer box (1); and a heat exchanger (5) through which outside air to be introduced to the fan (4) passes. The heat exchanger (5) has a path pipe (53) through which a refrigerant flows, and a sub-cooling line pipe (51) through which a greater amount of refrigerant than that flowing through the path pipe (53) flows. The sub-cooling line pipe (51) is partially or entirely provided at a position equal in height to that of the duct exhaust port (35).
