An outdoor unit and an air conditioning system. The outdoor unit comprises a compressor (1), two outdoor heat exchange units (2), a liquid pipe (3), a high-pressure gas pipe (4), and a low-pressure gas pipe (5). The high-pressure gas pipe (4) communicates with a gas discharging port of the compressor (1), and the low-pressure gas pipe (5) communicates with a gas drawing port of the compressor (1). The outdoor heat exchange units (2) are defrosted by a defrosting pipeline, thereby eliminating the need to provide an electric heater or other devices to perform defrosting and extending the service life of the outdoor unit. Two outdoor heat exchange units (2) are provided such that when the outdoor unit performs defrosting, one outdoor heat exchange unit (2) continuously performs heating, and the other outdoor heat exchange unit (2) performs defrosting, thereby achieving complete defrosting. The defrosting pipeline is provided below the two outdoor heat exchange units (2) to not only defrost the outdoor heat exchange units (2), but also frost that is hard to melt at the bottom of the outdoor heat exchange units (2), thereby extending the time between subsequent frosting periods, and improving the comfort of an indoor space.
