This outdoor unit (1) for a hot water supplying apparatus is provided with: a compressor (2) for circulating a refrigerant; a water heat exchanger (3) for heating water with a high-pressure heated refrigerant; an air heat exchanger (4) in which a low-pressure cooled refrigerant receives heat from outside air; an air blower (5) for sending the outside air to the air heat exchanger (4); a partition wall (6) for separating a first space in which the compressor (2) is installed and a second space in which the air blower (5) is installed; an electronic control board (8) installed above the partition wall (6) and having a power semiconductor element (9) that generates heat when the compressor (2) is driven and a heat sink (10) that is attached to the power semiconductor element (9); a reactor (7) fixed on the first space-side of the partition wall (6); and a cover (11) installed on the second space-side of the partition wall (6) and right behind the reactor (7), and forming a chimney-shaped air duct together with the partition wall (6), wherein the heat sink (10) is disposed right above the chimney-shaped air duct or at a position through which the outside air that has passed through the air heat exchanger (4) passes.
