Abstract:
This outdoor unit (10) is provided with a casing (11) and a protective cover (12). The casing (11) is, on the outside thereof so as to be exposed, provided with a connection valve (13) which is a connection port for a refrigerant pipe and a terminal base opening (14) which is a connection port for an electric component. The protective cover (12) is attached to the casing (11) so as to cover both the connection valve (13) and the terminal base opening (14). The protective cover 12 has, in a connection portion (21) between a valve cover portion (19) covering the connection valve (13) and an electric cover portion (20) covering the terminal base opening (14), a recessed part (22) formed to be recessed toward the casing (11) and having a flat bottom (23). The outdoor unit (10) is provided with a clearance material which is arranged on the bottom (23) of the recessed part (22) to fill a space between the bottom (23) of the recessed part (22) and the lateral sides of the casing (11).
