Abstract:
A door opening prevention mechanism is provided with a lever member and a pressing member which presses the lever member toward a set position. The lever member is mounted to a connection lever above a connection pin and can move to a set position and a retracted position which is located further toward the outside of the vehicle than the set position. When a predetermined inertial force is not acting in the direction toward the outside of the vehicle, the lever member is held at the set position and enables necessary and sufficient operation in the door opening direction to be transmitted from the connection lever to the connection pin through the lever member when door opening operation by an outer handle is performed. When the predetermined inertial force acts, the lever member moves from the set position to the retracted position before door opening operation by the outer handle and prevents necessary and sufficient operation in the door opening direction from being transmitted from the connection lever to the connection pin when door opening operation by the outer handle is performed.
As a result of the configuration, when a collision of the vehicle occurs (that is, when the inertial force acts), the door opening prevention mechanism prevents the operation in the door opening direction of a constituting member of a coordination mechanism caused by door opening operation by the outer handle, and this prevents the opening of the door.
