Abstract:
[Problem] To achieve a construction capable of preventing penetration of foreign matter into a female tube portion of an outer tube into which an inner shaft is inserted, and capable of suppressing the manufacturing costs of the outer tube. [Solution] An outer tube 11 consists of a solid male shaft portion 25, and a bottomed cylindrical female tube portion 26 formed integrally with the male shaft portion 25. A hole cover 19 is fitted externally onto the female tube portion 26, and the hole cover 19 blocks a gap between a dash panel 17 dividing a vehicle cabin interior 15 and a vehicle cabin exterior 16, and the outer tube 11. As a result, in a state of having been assembled to a vehicle body, the solid male shaft portion 25 is disposed in the vehicle cabin exterior 16, and an opening portion of a slide hole 32 provided in the female tube portion 26 is disposed in the vehicle cabin interior 15.
