Abstract:
This outphasing amplifier is equipped with: a first amplifier 10 for amplifying a first signal Sia; a second amplifier 11 for amplifying a second signal Sib; a synthesizer 16 for outputting the first signal Soa which was amplified by the first amplifier and the second signal Sob which was amplified by the second amplifier, and outputting the synthesized signal as an output signal So; and a signal processing device 20 for setting the amplitude Ab of the second signal to the amplitude Aa of the first signal or higher when setting the output power of the output signal to the maximum, setting the amplitude of the second signal to less than the amplitude of the first signal when setting the output power to the minimum, setting the outphasing angle θ of the first and second signals when setting the output power to the maximum so as to be higher than the outphasing angle when setting the output power to the minimum, and outputting the first and second signals.
