Abstract:
An outside handle device is provided with: a grip configured to be attachable to a vehicle door; a bellcrank that engages with the grip; a power transmission mechanism configured to transmit the power of the bellcrank to a lock device in the vehicle door; and a blocking mechanism configured to block the operation of the power transmission mechanism. The power transmission mechanism comprises a movable part that moves in accordance with the operation of the bellcrank. An engagement section is provided to the movable part. The blocking mechanism comprises: a first blocking section that engages with the engagement section from a first direction and blocks the operation of the power transmission mechanism; and a second blocking section that engages with the engagement section from a different, second direction and blocks the operation of the power transmission mechanism. The first blocking section and the second blocking section are movable and separate from the engagement section when not receiving inertial force.
