Abstract:
An oven appliance (10) and a method for operating the oven appliance (10). The oven appliance (10) comprises: a housing (12) defining a cooking chamber (14), a heating element (40, 42) which is in the housing (12) and which heats the cooking room (14), a user interface (120) attached to the housing (12), and a controller (50), which is operably connected to the heating element (40, 42) and the user interface (120). The controller (50) can be constructed to start a cooking operation, and the cooking operation comprises determining a preferred default temperature.
