Abstract:
An overcurrent detecting circuit (35) is provided for detecting an overcurrent status of a transistor (2) which outputs a current to a load (25). The overcurrent detecting circuit is provided with a start-up monitoring part (31) for discriminating a start-up time from a steady-state time, an overcurrent monitoring part (33) for monitoring the overcurrent status of the transistor (2), and an output voltage monitoring part (34) for detecting whether an output voltage to the load (25) is normal or abnormal. The overcurrent monitoring part (33) changes an overcurrent detection value, while referring to information from the start-up monitoring part (31) and the overcurrent monitoring part (33).
