Abstract:
The present invention obtains: an overcurrent trip device capable of achieving miniaturization of the device; and a circuit breaker using the same. An overcurrent trip device (100) comprises: a conductor (3) connected to the main circuit of a circuit breaker (200); a fixed iron core (1) formed so as to surround the conductor (3) and partially opened; and a movable iron core (2) which is disposed at the open position of the fixed iron core (1) and between the fixed iron core (1) and the movable iron core (2) with a magnetic gap (4) therebetween, and disposed movably by the electromagnetic force when an overcurrent flows through the conductor (3), wherein the fixed iron core (1) is disposed in contact with the conductor (3), and the movable iron core (2) is in contact with the conductor (3) when no overcurrent is flowing through the conductor (3) before operation.
