Abstract:
An overhead transport vehicle system (100) causes an overhead transport vehicle (1) to hold a teaching unit (20) and executes teaching of a transfer operation to a placement section (300), the overhead transport vehicle (1) traveling along a trajectory (R), conveying an object (200) to be conveyed, and having a holding unit (7) that transfers the object (200) to be conveyed to the placement section (300) arranged below the trajectory R. The holding unit (7) comprises: a power-feeding terminal (63B) that supplies electric power from a power supply; and a first communication unit (65) that receives information pertaining to teaching. The teaching unit (20) comprises: a power-receiving terminal (61) to which the electric power is supplied; and a second communication unit (67) that transmits the information pertaining to teaching. When the teaching unit is held by the holding unit (7), power can be supplied between the power-feeding terminal (63B) and the power-receiving terminal (61), and the first communication unit (65) and the second communication unit (67) can communicate.
